Bing = found

In a very interesting interview with David Webster, Microsoft's chief marketing strategist, Ina Fried of cnet.com revealed that the original name for the decision engine was “Bang” instead of Bing. Citing Webster, Fried noted "It's there [Bang], it's an exclamation point." Later Webster told Fried, the perfect choice was Bing, as Webster called "the sound of found." The choice of Bing as the website name was not disappointed so far, as the decision engine continues to capture search market share in America since its launch. http://tinyurl.com/yf9vgfg
