Google dominated pay-per-click ads in 2009 while Bing was not even close

About 97% of companies spent on Google AdWords pay-per-click ads in 2009, as per a joint research study by Econsultancy and SEMPO. Only 44% of companies spent money on Bing pay-per-click ads in 2009. Meanwhile, Bing’s incoming partner Yahoo attracted only 50% of companies in 2009. So, the average of combo Bing+Yahoo is 47%, a 50% lag behind of Google. The latest research also shows that many companies have been promoting themself thru social networking media.
